Board of Advisors
Here are the members of my Board of Advisors. These individuals have graciously consented to be on my board for a 6 month term, to help me improve in my career and as an individual.
Jeff - Former Director of Operations for Worldwide Sales Operations (HDS). I briefly worked for Jeff while he was part of the HDS Professional Services team (GSS) and have had many a conversation with him about professional services issues. Jeff drove an internal HDS project to focus the company on addressing customer pain with services instead of product. (I just reduced 3 years of hard work by Jeff into one sentence, please forgive me Jeff). Jeff also worked to get a Knowledge Management initiative at HDS supported and funded. Jeff left HDS to find a job that he thought would take better advantage of his skills and launched a new company PragmaticPS. Jeff lives in St. Louis, MO.
Carl - Managing Principal for Business Continuity Open Practice (HDS)
I interviewed with Carl 2.5 years ago and managed to convince him to hire me, (still not sure how I managed that). Carl leads the Business Continuity practice for GSS Americas. He is also part of the Knowledge Management initiative at HDS. Carl’s encouragement and support has helped me grow a lot over the last 2 years. Carl lives in Kansas City, KS.
Bernadette - Former VP of Knowledge Enablement (NCR Teradata)
I met Bernadette through TPSA as part of my involvement in the Intellectual Asset Mgmt Taskforce. Bernadette continues to be a wealth of information for the HDS KM team. I was struck by her openness about what she has done at NCR Teradata, and willingness to guide others should they ask. Bernadette has now launched her own business management consulting and coaching practice. Bernadette lives in Atlanta, GA.
Tony - Professional Services Guru (CoalFire)
I worked with Tony when I lived in Colorado about 6 years ago. He is a civil engineer by trade with a PhD on the subject. He also has 25+ years of professional services background both in civil engineering and technology services. Tony always impressed me with his work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile for anyone. He helped to setup a Mentor program at Cameron Cole and is now providing leadership to professional services consultants at Coal Fire, a security consulting firm. Tony lives in Boulder, CO.
